What do you enjoy about your work at Buchkosky's?
I enjoy the variety of work I see at Buchkosky's. I enjoy taking a project from start to finish. I particularly enjoy restoring very old, worn-out pieces and when brought back to new the customer's reaction.
What is your favorite memory during your time at Buchkosky's?
The bustle of Christmas time shopping before the days of online shopping. Every day from Thanksgiving you could feel the season building and the last few days everybody was running on straight adrenaline.
What is your favorite gemstone?
Precious Topaz. I really love the the peach color of a fine example.
What is your favorite item that you have seen at Buchkosky's?
There have been many, I like the custom, one-of-a-kind pieces, especially some of the opal pieces. No two are alike and the intense color play on a nice stone.
Football, Baseball, Basketball or Hockey?
I was a huge Northstar fan. I'm still a little bitter how it ended. I learned not to get too attached, so otherwise I'm a fair weather, hometown sport's fan.
What is your favorite thing to do to unwind?
We live on the Mississippi River so I really enjoy being outside working in the yard and seeing the wildlife outside.
