As with any business, expansion brings management challenges. A decision was made in 1974 and 1975 to close the two smaller stores at Golden Valley and Village North, in Brooklyn Center. In their place a larger store would be opened in Roseville, at HarMar Mall. At the time large floor and wall clocks were popular and many still remember the clock showroom from that time.
While HarMar was a quality location, nearby was the burgeoning Rosedale Center that was in the final stages of completion of a brand new wing that would house Wards department store. The center was a more prestigious destination with a far higher foot traffic than the community mall that is HarMar. Buchkosky Jewelers closed the HarMar location in 1979 to open the new store at Rosedale. Buchkosky Jewelers has held this store location to this day.
